Christopher Kutarna

Dr Chris Kutarna is co-author of Age of Discovery: Navigating the Storms of Our Second Renaissance, a best-selling, internationally acclaimed book published by Bloomsbury in eight languages. Among other predictions, Chris publicly foresaw the outcome of the United Kingdom’s 2016 referendum on EU membership (Brexit) and the 2016 election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. His forthcoming books include Post- Truth Politics (2019) and Captains of Discovery: Mapping the New World (2020).

Chris is the lead-off presenter for two of Oxford Saïd Business School’s three flagship, FT-ranked #2 in the world, executive education programmes. He has been a two-time Governor General’s Medallist, a Commonwealth Scholar, a Fellow of the Oxford Martin School and now an Adjunct of the Oxford Saïd Business School. Chris consulted with Boston Consulting Group in New Zealand, Australia and China. While living in Beijing, Chris started and exited a successful e-commerce apparel company and served as sherpa into China’s elite for Ned Goodman, founder of Dundee Corporation and one of the chief architects of the Canadian mining industry. Chris holds a doctorate in Politics of China from the University of Oxford. He speaks Mandarin and is a Global Top Ten Speaker on the Future of Work at London Speaker Bureau. A Canadian, Chris is currently based in London.
